It’s easy to listen to what others have to say, it’s easy to let others lead the way,we assume they have it all figured out, they know everything,so it’s safer to follow behind. Also incase things don’t work out, someone else will take the responsibility. Still, playing it safe.
While playing this game of hide and seek,we are more likely to miss on ourselves than we thought possible. There are so many opportunities missed, because we were not there to take them,we did not believe in ourselves,and/or we were too afraid to fail. We all want to be successful, however, when we see those who have succeeded,we assume it happened instantly, they tried and it worked out,the very first time, therefore,we reject opportunities head on when they come by, because we think we are well equiped to do them, we’d rather not try than try and fail. The thought of failure, is very humiliating,we are not ready to experience that. But,why is it very easy to think we are going to fail?
You see, depending on how we are raised and the company we keep,we grow up with so many ideas of what is possible to us, to those around us and to the strangers we have heard about. The truth however is,what we think about other people, doesn’t affect them, and what other people think about us, doesn’t affect us,unless we allow it.However, what we think about ourselves, plays a very big role in who we become, because our brain uses the beliefs we have, to give us the experiences we have here on the physical realm.
Our thoughts are like a software,to the brain. If we think we are not capable of doing or achieving something, the brain will make every task related to achieving that thing difficult, less enjoyable and we’re more likely to quit or procastinate. This is how we become victims of our own doing, without even realizing it.
Doing something for the very first time,is going to be uncomfortable, might seem difficult, but that’s fine, you’ve never done it before. What’s the worst that can happen? Fail? Failure in itself is not a bad thing, you might miss out on the endgoal,or, result, but you have acquired a new skill, experience, and you have helped yourself overcome the fear block. That’s growth. Surprisingly, you might win big time, but you’d never know that if you do not try.
It’s important to have a little more trust in ourselves,we cannot assume we are meant for failure. This is a very harmful self-limiting belief about ourselves, which will never work for our good. So,why not think better about ourselves?
There’s truth in what the wise said,’what you think you become.’ If you observe your thoughts, the decisions you’ve taken, and relate them to the results you’ve been getting, you will see a pattern.A pattern, you created. You see every created thing, you see,is created twice;once in the mind, and once in the physical realm.
Incase, you thought there was something outside of yourself to blame, think again. If your thoughts can work against you,it is possible you can make the same thought process work for your own good,by changing the content of those thoughts. Think about who you want to become, re-evaluate your beliefs and make new beliefs, about yourself and the world you live in.
In this view, you have got to value yourself, because you are very important in your own life, give yourself credit, you deserve it.As much as there are forces outside of yourself working with you to create the world you live in,you are as involved,in the process,as everything else is. In this game of life, you are a main player in your life, every move, every decision, every action has a consequence. Acknowledge the responsibility you have, and go all the way in.
You have always had it going, even when you didn’t know it,now that you know, your capabilities are limitless, trust yourself, and lead your way.You have got this!
